Our membership in 2010 was 48.
Anyone wishing to join the club must belong to the Academy of Model Aeronautics, Inc. (that requires an entry fee of $58 to the AMA), attend two of our WRCF meetings, and be voted in by the active members.
We meet on the second Tuesday of each month:
- During the Summer - At the WRCF Flying Field at 6:30 pm
- During the Winter - At the Washington Park District Building on Spruce Street at 7:00 pm
The WRCF Flying Field is East of the city of Washington, IL located off Cruger Road one and 3/4 miles East of the Main and Cruger intersection. It is marked on Cruger Road by two street signs, Speerly Lane and Washington RC Flyers along with a large WRCF logo sign. It is on forty-five acres of Special-Use Zoned property leased from the city of Washington. We occupy five acres of flying turf. Field maintenance is performed by club members. A mowing schedule is published annually and work parties for special projects are arranged as needed.
